Our  agency was started back in the 1930’s by George Hanson. LeRoy Frank  purchased the agency from George in 1973, and has been the agency  principal ever since. Present owners of the agency are LeRoy Frank,  David Frank, and Kari Harding. We enjoy an alliance with several  agencies in southwestern Minnesota towns such as Appleton, Marshall,  Balaton, Pipestone and Tyler. This alliance enables us to increase the  markets we can access, to find the best protection for our customers at  the best price. Our customers have been the bread and butter of our  livelihood. We take special care of those who have taken care of us,  particularly farmers, businesses, and the local community. 

Kari  Harding, CIC, CISR. Kari joined Southwest Insurance Services, Inc. of  Canby in June of 2005, with 14 years experience as a licensed agent in  Minnesota. Her specialty is commercial property & casualty  insurance, although she enjoys working on personal lines property &  casualty insurance as well. In 1992, Kari earned her CISR (Certified  Insurance Service Representative) and in 1996 her CIC (Certified  Insurance Counselor) designations. These designations represent a  commitment to continuing education as well as professional excellence  and leadership in the insurance industry. She and her family enjoys  being active in the Canby community. Kari was elected to the Independent  School District 891 school board in 2007, was the chairperson of  Canby's Blue and Gold Foundation 2006 - 2008, is a member of the Board  of Trustees for Our Saviours Lutheran Church, an active Rotarian and  initiator of the Canby Defibrillator Fund.  

LeRoy  Frank LeRoy started his career in the insurance business in 1970 as  insurance manager for National Bank of Canby Insurance Agency. In 1973  he purchased Insurance Service of Canby, MN, which now operates under  the corporate name of Southwest Insurance Services of Canby. In the past  years, he has served as president of the Minnesota Independent Agents  Association, of which the agency is still a member. Le Roy Frank and his  wife Diane have been residents of Canby for over 38 years. They raised  three children, 2 of whom work in the family business. LeRoy has served  the community in many positions such as Rotary Club of Canby president,  Senior Haven Board of Directors, and Canby Area Jaycees. He is now  semi-retired and David and Kari manage the agency.   

David  Frank David joined Southwest Insurance in May of 1996 after spending  three years away from Canby attending college. He currently lives in  Canby with his wife Christine and two children Caullin and Maya. David  is active in the community through the local Rotary International club.  He enjoys outdoor activities and also likes reading books and watching  movies
